We have both a BXS and 3406E trucks. I drove both.
I drive the BXS. Nothing wrong with these engines. The 3406E is not much different other than no IVA and only a single turbo.kranky1 Thanks this. -

I want to know if it p
its locked up and wanted to know if u can put a 3406e without messing with the ecm harness -
Is it plug and play or u have to mess with the ecm harness to make it work?

Harness issue. You would have a 70 pin truck with a 40 pin engine in it. The harnesses are around for that swap though.

Kranky1 is right.

The 2WS is a 70 pin and still labeled 3406E. The 5DS 15.8 liter was also labeled 3406E. My point is yes a 3406E is most likely a 40 pin and will require simple modification but without a serial number who really knows. They are not all the same as people think
Oxbow, Roger McG, bjytech and 1 other person Thank this.
