We've got a 2006 C15. When its colder outside (under roughly 40 degrees) and the engine isnt completely warmed up if you give it full throttle trying to get up to speed it sounds like its misfiring and it pukes blue/grey smoke and wont get out of its own way. If you back off the throttle it runs fine and it idles fine. As soon as its been running 30 or so minutes and the ECT's are over 140-150 degrees it will run fine with no issues. Im guessing it may be an IVA issue? But its not throwing any flash codes. It started doing this late last winter, then no issues over the summer. Not that its cold out again it has started it again. Thoughts?

When it's cold out my engine will pull that same stunt as you described above. It won't do it every time but it gets annoying when it does. I'm not sure what the fix is.

    Yes could be IVA's.
Chased it down in a truck once. Backed all the IVAs off and fire it up, worked perfect. Set one bank up, left it overnight and tried the next morning. Repeat til it runs rough then change the latest set up IVA head. Could also try running some ATF in the engine oil to clean out the iva/s

Not sure if this is true or not but I'm been told it's doing that stunt because it's in cold mode. What's your thoughts on that?
