Welcome esslinger to TTR. I'll move this post to the mechanic area. You'll get more replies there. ;)

Not a C-16 but my C-15 broke two a couple years ago. It broke the tips off of them. I wouldn't have known but for the shop having to look at the injectors while replacing my fried ECU after a lightning hit.

Mine broke too, there is a upgrade for them I had them fitted 700,000km ago still going strong.
Goughs should have told you that.
Over revving on the jakes wont help either.

We did lots of broken and bent rocker arms, every time the exhaust rocker arm breaks the intake bridge needs to be changed, and the intake rocker inspected we just changed that one as a rule.
We did a lot of cams on the "E" and early C15's it came as a kit and included all the rocker-arms. When we found a bent one we normally got the OK from Cat to change them all.
