Can anyone tell me what model year 6NZ02434 is built for? Made 12/99, so I believe it's a model year 2000 which makes it not exempt from the ELD mandate especially in a 2000 KW. Thanks.
Cat engine model year

I think you good for paper logs.

Cat dealer just said it was built 12/99, no idea if it's 1999 or 2000 model.

2000 KW w900b with 300k on the platinum rebuilt 6NZ for $25k. Guy emailed me the receipts for the last 5 years

12 of 99 build is gonna be meets 2000 emissions standards.
2WS prefix is what your searching for. Though there are just a very few 6nz 99 emissions standard enginesOxbow, SAR and snowman_w900 Thank this. -
I may be wrong but I thought it was all about the engine model year. Like when the engine was built.. nothing to do with emissions. If engine was built 99 and prior your fine..
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Like @wore out said, they are going on the emissions year standards in the latest ruling.
It could be a 99 build date, but if it qualified in the the 2000+ emissions specs, then your outta luck on the exemption.
My 2ws is a 11/99 build date. The sticker says meets 99 emission standards. It's in a 2000 w900 -
LOL the guy said it had 370k on the engine, it has almost 900k on the rebuild. Pretty sure that’s running on borrowed time. Glad I looked at all the receipts. Pass!
