    I'm having problems with my 05 w 900 L x15 cat twin turbos ,no boost won't pull a small hill mt or loaded turbos aren't engagein motor just fully rebuilt 6 months ago front crank seal leaking. Like crazy checked air charge cooler replaced all 4 boots I'm stumped big time anyone had this problem before HELP I'M A EX TECH FULLY CERTIFIED DIESEL CAT CUMMINS DETROIT I'M AT THE END OF MY ROPE

    Do you have a boost gauge? is it making any boost at all? What about the blow- by tube, any excessive smoke/steam? Any check engine light, does it work on the pre-start check? Who did the rebuild, and did they counter-bore it? Need more info.

    Yes I have a boost gauge no boost checked the gauge by putting air to it it works fine . Check engine light works as well no check engine light No ECM codes at All. Checked the bellows at the turbos while running there cold you can touch them bare handed All of them .turbos aren't engaging checked turbo sensors replaced them tested them they have power coming to them ,by blow tube yes excessive steam an oil coming from the by blow

    Itube oil is very wet on the ground puddle about the size of a baseball after idling fer a short time bout 30 minutes in a 10 hr break the puddle about the size of a softball WHICH ISN'T CORRECT IN MY BOOK, I WAS TOLD IT'S NORMAL .NOT EVEN.!!!! MHC KENWORTH IN MEMPHIS REBUILT THE ENGINE FULLY PLATINUM PACKAGE NEW HEAD BORED OUT NEW INJECTORS SLEEVES PISTONS RINGS EVERYTHING NEW BOTH TURBO ASSEMBLYS AS WELL WHICH TO ME THEY DON'T THINKIN L NEW OR LOOK LIKE THEY WERE REPLACED JUST 6 MONTHS AGO

    I'M Thinking cracked cranck shaft or cracked cam shaft,because crank. shaft seal is leaking really good an it's crank case oil not oil pan oil crank case oil comes out light like new clean oil plus I've never had a Front crank case seal leaking at 6 months after being replaced like there isnt full compression coming to. The top of the head plus my mpg went. From 7.5 to 3.5 -4.3 any advice I'm stumped big time MHC KW. MEMPHIS IS wanting to DYNO it today try to. Find. The root of the problem That's big money please help me out if possible thanks fer your help

    Did you check just the charge air cooler or the whole thing? If just cooler then it could be a leak in the system. How long has this been going on? It might be that they are just wanting to give you the run a round till the warranty goes out.

    is there water coming out of overflow on radiator? if so maybe a blown headgasket if they didn't set the liner protrution up right. excessive oil like that maybe just where it isn't broke in yet. a-certs have a lot of (blowby). if your trying to make boost sittin still you wont. only when engine is put under load (dyno for example). almost imposable to break a crank or camshaft in one of these a-certs (almost). you can make about 1 or 2 lbs of boost at a high idle 1600 or above. at high idle squirt windex or soapy water on all the clamps for turbos and see if there are any bubbles. the cac may be leaking also, have it pressurized.

    the leak on front, look real close and see if it maybe coming from where the crank sensor is located. the o-ring on it maybe bad and it will look like a crank seal leak. if they replaced the seal, probably nicked it installing it.

    Popcorn 169 they just checked it on the truck air cooler they pressure tested it they didn't take it off too check It checked out the whole motor not internally yet .checked the clamps at the turbos no leaks .the bellows are cold at the turbos not even hot like they should be .an no water or antifreeze coming from the reservoir over flow the head new the motor just rebuilt 6 months ago everything is new no reman parts used in the rebuild at least that's what MHC memphis KW is telling me Whatcha think popcorn? Any more advice what.it could be I'm great full for any help I can get thank you popcorn 169

    t Superhauler, no boost at All even put a 46,000 lbs paper load on it drove it around no boost what so ever y'all know as well as I do Windows up or down your going to hear those twin turbos I hear nada it's been to KW Memphis 4 Times fer the same problem and even the shop at the company I'm leasted to at JNJ EXPRESS 3 TIMES they can't figure it out either but the JNJ shop said it's gotta be in the head no compression hardly at all .checked the over flow no leaks checked air.charge cooler pressure tested it on the truck not off ,no leaks, oil leaks at the bottom not by the sensor by the crank shaft Superhauler I'm stumped big time Whatcha thinkin it could be ?????
