I have a cat. It's a big Maincoon (19 pounds of cat + 3 pounds of fur) and has been riding with me for several years. My cat is fine with walking on a leash and I will take it out when I stop at a place with some open area not loaded with dog ####.
My cat likes being in the truck but really hates being in a car. Not sure why.
Cats? (as in feline pets) and progress!

when you know that you have to stop and get out for whatever reason, if you have a carrier, put the cat in there, then get out.
if you want to let your cat out (with you) for a quick walk, make sure he/she is in that harness..!!Metallica88, Dave_in_AZ and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -

My parents lost about 3 kitties to coyotes. The hardest loss was a Siamese kitty. A very emotional cat. Had several owners and she was a bit confused and she meowed/cried a lot. Very sad. I went to my parents house to babysit for them while my parents went on vacation and the Siamese kitty couldn't handle another change in owners. I opened the door to go outside and smoke a cigar and she RAN. It was very sad. It was late at night and I could hear the coyotes howling and making their hunting yelps. She had beautiful bright blue eyes and a black face.Gearjammin' Penguin and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
