Why bother with trucking? With your connections you could make a fortune if you set up an introduction service between American men and Venezuelan women. Huge market just waiting for an enterprising guy to tap into it.

Caught a charge. Like with a net? Fishing pole? Baseball glove? Bear trap?

Also, why do people complain after catching charges? Don’t try to catch them if you don’t want them……..

Progressive is the only company that will insure a new MC.

now it was 60k with 2 accidents for a guy I know but he had a clean record other than those.

your also forgetting that you need to be in a drug program, and get randomly tested after your initial test even if your an owner operator. Takes a while for marijuana to be completely out of your system. Everyone who drives is in that program.

I doubt any company will let you lease on or even insure you as a startup.

Sounds like you don't have your cdl yet? You'll need to be able to pass a drug test to even get in to truck school. In fact I believe as long as you have a cdl you are subject to drug testing.

Sound like you smoke a lot? That open container issue is pretty serious too. The people I've known who have done that, do it all the time. If that describes you then you shouldn't get a cdl.

Not really. The drug testing is a company regulation. It applies to O/O's as they are the company, but just having a CDL there are no drug testing requirements. Only when you start working as a truck driver.
