Just stating what we all already know. If you research those cases most decisions only make you whole, not profit.

I'm sorry but I'm not following here. Not sure if the OP is trying to profit or not but I bet he'd be pretty happy to get something while putting an industry scumbag out of business.

    Your actually surprised by this.
The money is not in freight,
Its in stealing as much as you can from drivers.

Just saying like a lot of things, you can spend a lot of money to get a little back. Want to hurt the carrier, post the proof and name of carrier everywhere you can. Lot of carriers like that, just think of some who were big shots on here

After a week or so of being broke/down while ck out other co. without sending any info to them on who you are pulling for now and and you get paid for the loads you have turned in, then 2ed wk after you have found some co. that you are ready to try to go over to haul for then start filling out app. paper/work, if someone calls you from co. that's cleaning you out just tell them that you are getting a extra truck and will let your brother/in/law drive it but he has a dui or something that they will not like. then after you are on 1st load and leased on with new co. return their trailer and permit book and wave with 1 finger as you drive out gate?

This is great advice but here is the rub about all of this, this may be an isolated incident, may not be, no matter what, the OP's contract has to specify what percentage of what the carrier gets is what the owner gets, in many cases it is not gross. I have seen the words net, gross and even billable in contracts I've collected from others. Hell one even said the owner gets a fixed rate if the carrier doesn't collect within 30 days.

See the contract matters most, the disclosure regulation is only as good as the contract is, if the owner has a lot of hoops to jump through, then the carrier is being dishonest. If the owner has just offers, then well they are offers.

What the OP can do is just find another company. there isn't much more than that with this incident because it wasn't acted on, only an offer. If you picked up the load, well then ... after you get your settlement, if is isn't what the customer is saying it was, ask for the disclosure, then you have a case.

Oh, yes. Understood. I'd still make #### sure there was an official record of it on court records and get a lawyer that works on commission. I'd fry this guy like bacon just to prove a point.

You could set the owner up with a prostitute and share the evidence with the wife leading her to divorce him taking half of the business.

You could drain all of the transmission and rearend fluid from as many of their trucks as you have storage for.

I'm not trying to get you to do anything crazy but it would be nice if people were afraid of the consequences of ripping someone off. If more people retaliated with swift and severe methods when in a position like yours then fewer people would get screwed.

Exactly. They do it because they know 99 percent of people will roll over and take it.

I'm really pissed more than anything.
Obviously yeah I would want the money stolen from me.

Thought I'd be appreciated and valued joining a smaller company, so much for that.
I feel like trash from this.
