i don't "see" any touche here...
owning up to my responsibility can be for arriving late, getting the paperwork wrong, leaving the docks when there was a load to be put on, and NO ONE told me, hooking up to the wrong trailer, whatever...
so "touche" that....

My standard Response: "IT'S MY PHONE & HEADSET, I'LL TALK TO WHOMEVER, WHENEVER I CHOOSE! If It was so important, WHY wasn't I briefed at Base?"
I continued to Drop-n-Hook point, then back to base. THEN they "informed me about their new regulations", so I ceased making Shuttle Runs and stayed on site with a worn out Switcher Truck.

Uniden dual lens camera + 128 GB Sandisk memory card.

If I'm not mistaken that card will loop in 14 hours and start recording over.
The benefit of having your own camera is:
You own the recordings and you can use them for your own protection on the road.
Traffic stop and charged with driving without a seat belt and with a phone in your hand?
Multiple brake checks in front of your truck?
Cut off by some car crossing 3 lanes?
The recordings will prove you did not do anything
illegal and you are an angel with a steering wheel.
Good luck, driver. Protect yourself. Nobody else will do it.jethro712, Yank the Tank, REO6205 and 2 others Thank this. -
But it takes character and courage to do it.
Maybe you have it or you don't. -

Your advice is always appreciated.
And it is always honest.

After retiring my Volvo, I was a company driver for 16 months.
I experienced both sides. They were all good.
