Caught Up in Police Chase on Interstate

    The LEO was a Palmyra city local. Just as I was about to cross the strip, he pulled it and that's exactly when the car they were chasing passed me on my right. The strip caught my front right steer tire and missed their subject completely. He was probably going 90+ mph.

    I didn't get such a good photo of all the spikes in the tire because I was taking a picture of the tread wear. The tire guy was pointing out that if the cops wanted to be jerks, they could have done a roadside on me and put the tread issues as a violation.

    The funniest part of the whole thing is that for a split second as I realized the strip was being thrown out in front of me, it actually occurred to me that maybe they were chasing me and I didn't realize it.

    That sure looks like the roll pins they use in most spike strips

    They should have wrote you up for a bad steer tire. Shoulder is smooth and looks like its down to the wear indicator in the middle
