CB, a dying truck driver tool, what y'all think??

It's sometimes annoying around here locally.
I can think of 3 idiots with base stations who fill the airwaves with crap everyday, Up and down I 294.
And thens theres the singing cowboy who thinks everyone wants to here him sing.
Usually will squelch it about 1/2 and hope for the best

 

I monitor Ch. 19 all day long and have some great "short" chats with truckers passing through. More than once I have headed down the hill to have coffee and a donut with the OTRs.

 

This to me is what cb radio is all about. It seems like everyone is too busy anymore to make new friends. It can be a great hobby or tool if used correctly.

 

Just tell Loyd his RFID implant is causing a buzz in his transmit.

Jake Brake actually can sing and many of his parody songs are hilarious.

 

I remember as a kid meeting an ote with my dad in tow..All i had was a 4 ch realistic walkie talkie type radio..Got the crap scared outta me once when i called out to an airplane taken off from local airport..When i called out to it the reply came back "GET OFF THIS #### FREQ KID BEFORE I CALL THE COPS ON YA"!!
LIL did i know then my lil 4 channel (1,9,14,19) radio wasnt talkin to the airplane..lol

 

No. CB is not a dying tool. End of discussion. That is all.
