Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
The CB is really quiet because of cell phone texting and computers now a days. I starting seeing this happening about 10 to 15 years ago when a flicked on the cb radio one day and never heard a sound. I checked everything. SWR and connections and switched wips and nothing, till some one came on looking for a radio check. It was one of them days when there was no skip and a sunny day with everyone outside for that day.(very strange day indeed) .... 1 , 16, 19 are mainly used but also depends on the radio too. Some times ya use 23, 40 or upper side band talking to each other. It is all a freedom of speech on the open air, on the open road.

Not a lot of TEXTING 10 to 15 years ago , still lots of chatter running the 401 corridor through Ontario, and lots bleed over from the French channel.

Well truth be told I run channel 19 all the time, unless talking to a coworker and dont want to clog up the channel. Then again running through La bull provance I would rather listen to some of that rap music than what they have to say.
Canucklehead and LaBubba Thank this.

Channel 10 is a lot used all over Québec.... i comme from quebec
Most truckers now days won't bother to answer a call from a 4 wheeler. When I was a highway cowboy I always answered and tried my best to be polite as long as the person on the other end was respectful and wanted to carry on an intelligent conversation. Mostly started on 19 then moved to another channel to clear 19. I tend to favour SSB now days. Not so many goof balls. I live and drive in the Rockies of BC.
