    It sounds like a ground Loop or RFI coming from your alternator.

    That's your problem right there. You want your RF and DC ground to be in the same spot. Ground your radio to the same spot you have your antenna grounded.

    Excactly that's what I done to mine. I learned a long time ago that you run it ground to the battery ya it's going to pick up the engine like crazy.
    That's why I tell people read about RF grounding there's no such thing as too many grounds as long as thier short.
