CB installation,

    Is setting up a CB at home different form setting up a CB in a truck? It's a 12 volt moble CB. thanks.

    Well it is allot different in some ways but the same in other ways. The equipment is different you will need a power supply Depending on the radio more than likely a good 12 amp will work a little smaller my work but i wouldn't go much lower than that. You will need a Base station Antenna of some kind allot of folks use the Antron 99 it is a good all around Omni antenna. And you will need a mast to mount it on remembering the higher the better and depends on where you are as to how high you can get it. And again good coax i like LMR 400 but it is stiff and hard to wok with so a good RG8 will do fine. And also a good ground for the station is essential to a good signal so get as much copper ground rod as you in the ground and as short as passable ground braid back to the radio and also ground you antenna to it as well. If you have room to bury some ground radials so much the better.
