Just bought a brand new CB Cobra 29lx and put it on in my 2022 Volvo 760 with factory antennas
Installed it according the manual, but I won’t hear anybody and not sure anyone heard me too.Watched a lot of videos how to do it right, and did same as they showed.
Speaker is working.I hear a WX channel pretty good.Radio is working good too.Which probably means it’s connected good.
I’m out of ideas, maybe someone gonna give a advice what’s wrong before a hit a CB shop on my way.

Try going into a truck stop and asking for a radio check. Someone should (maybe) come back to you.
Another way would be to key up your mic and say "####, that girls naked". I always got a comeback with that one if my radio was working.

Don't waste your money on having a new radio tuned. Instead put that money towards a good antenna system. It is possible your new cobra radio has a problem, but any reliable cb shop could test it in about five minutes for a small charge, or maybe no charge at all. I'm 95% sure it's the trucks antennas, because it's a common problem with todays trucks.

I'm 100% sure, these systems are getting worse as time goes on.

Don't fiddle with the radio. It's probably fine. Back in the early to mid 70's, you couldn't get a word in edgewise. Now it's a wasteland. Until you get in a traffic backup, and that's when the value becomes obvious

Yes, that does appear to be the case. I guess long gone are the days that you install a co-phase antenna system and just enjoy the radio.

Those days are still there, but the expectations with many today are too great.
