Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere already... but anyone know why CBSA is asking for a Phone Number and Email Address of everyone crossing back into Canada? I asked them several times and they claimed to 'not know the details', other than it being a 'pilot project'. Is it just to send out relevant pandemic notifications?

Was going to post this yesterday.

It's a "pilot project" in conjunction with Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).

As usual, the morons in charge don't think it through. I'm in complete agreement with the driver from the article. I've received countless spam calls and emails and so any that come from any government agency get ignored.

I was asked the other day in Queenston Ontario, caught me by surprise and pretty sure I gave them the wrong phone number, they did not ask for email

They did it for a few days a few weeks back at Emerson. Stopped it after a few days.

I asked a senior officer I know about this. The idea was for contact tracing. If you test positive, they can backtrack where you got the load from, and try to figure out who you came into contact with. That’s all.

    Bahahaha......best one ever

I just tell them I don’t use email. And I give the office ph number for company I run for. No way I’m giving that info out.

Btw @not4hire , I’m totally stealing your idea, and at same time I’m sending you money to save and bail me out.
