I have a quick question, I realized by doing a lot of research that, these companies work a lot out of Florida which is PLUS. The only one that works out of Miami is CCC, but the rest are Orlando and up, which is ok with me cause I have been wanting to relocate around Orlando anyway!!

My question is, does anyone know about these companies at all!!! any info??

One more thing, WSE has its own school, how is it?

Does anybody have any experience with any company within Comcar, or went to the WSE school?

OK, I hate to give out bad info, and I may be wrong, but I believe ComCar owns Midwest Coast transport out of Sioux Falls, S.D. ( an all O/O company). Somewhere on a site a few months back, a poster said he went to truck school at Midwest Coast, which was really cheap and got hired on to drive for an O/O leased on to Midwest Coast. A lot of these companies that are O/O's have small fleets leased on to them and will do the driver hiring for the O/O's. If you verify this in your travels, let us know.

WSE (Willis Shaw) does have a school, but it's primarily for the WSE and MCT divisions of Comcar. You should check because not all the Comcar companies hire drivers right out of school. You can call CCC at 800-942-0082 or WSE at 800-JoinWSE.

WSE does NOT have a school, maybe you should have called that phone number.

According to Shawn, ...that settles that.

I worked for CCC back in '04, not a bad company but it wouldn't be worth moving to Orlando to work for them, if you had an offer in Miami it would be the same offer you'd get anywhere else. FYI, the pay is low and the work can be long, but they're a good bunch of people. CTL, which is Comcars chemical tank line used to operate a school in Auburndale where CCC, and CTL are based out of, can't say if they're still open but I'd like to think that they are. CTL stays very busy hauling sulfur out of the port of Tampa over the Mulberry, and fertilizer back out going back to the port. If you search on here there's a few threads about both companies, in my opinion you can't go wrong getting your feet wet with Comcar and move on to better things in a few years.

WSE is based in AR, but has terminals in Atlanta, GA & Boise, ID and their major customers are M&M/Mars, Hersheys, General Mills & Anheuser-Busch.

Right now, WSE & MCT are merging so you'll see them pulling each others trailers a lot. MCT is all O/O, while WSE is a mostly company drivers, with maybe 1/4 or so O/O's. WSE runs almost 100% Macks and are governed at 63mph. WSE is good to get your training & 1st few years experience but I don't recommend them at all as a long term career.
