I have been driving for 18 months with a few different companies. I haven't drove for a year now and having trouble finding a company to put me on the road again. Who would you'all recommend? Looking for Good Company that has a Great reputation. I would ride with a trainer or team.

Might help if we knew where home was for you if we're to consider possible options besides the usual larger national carriers.

Do an internet search for local carriers. They are your best bet to get working again without a refresher.

18 months an few different companies? It would seem that you either don't get along well with others , or you just have really bad luck choosing employers. Crossroads gave you really good advice , but you have to be able to stay somewhere long enough to get to know them too. Job hopping is one of the biggest obstacles that you will have to get over now..."good " companies want folks willing to spend some time with 'em...not break and run at the first hiccup.

{quote}Crossroads gave you really good advice {quote} ref Crossroads' post #4. Google trucking companies local to you in the Tulsa area. To try and find a company that will hire you. Wasn't judging , only trying to help , by being honest with you. Sorry to step on your toes there TIRhoades. Good luck finding work.

If you plan on going back out with a trainer then put the companies names in a hat and pick one. You're not going to find that perfect starter company no matter how hard you look, you're just not.Do you think you can remember everything pertaining to driving trk, laws and logs since its been a yr?If so try a small company but make sure they have good equipment and good safety. If you're having trouble finding companies that'll hire you,its because you've been out of the trk so long and chances are they require you take a refreshers course.Try looking at small to med carriers that really don't care as long as you rememebr how to drive trk
