    Hi there,

I'm thinking of joining a truck driving school in/around Denver/Aurora area.

Read from this forum that US Truck is not so good in that you don't get enough time "behind the wheels".

Right now, CDL(Aurora) and SAGE(Henderson) are on my list.

I live pretty close to CDL and would appreciate any feedback about them.

    Like:
How many hrs did you actually sit behind the wheel?
Did they include observation time in the driving time?

    Thanks.
    Peace

    Hi
Did you go through the CDL College? I'm looking into a good truck driver school in the Denver area and really like some feed back on this school.
    Thanks

I'd pick CDL College or SAGE over US truck any day of the week. US truck is a CDL Mill; no one on one drive time, they throw you in the sleeper with several other students.

From my research,. SAGE has the best program in CO, but for some reason, it's not PTDI certified like the other SAGE schools.

I got my CDL through SAGE in Henderson over four years ago. At that time I was very satisfied with both the classroom and drive-time curriculum. They also made sure that you were employable in the industry before they put you into the classroom (and took your money.)

Whenever you are in the truck, its just one student. On the range, one range instructor works with you while you learn backing and manuevers - he works with whoever needs it the most. That's not a big deal... once you get the idea, its a matter of perfecting your technique. When you're on the road its one-on-one. They also show you how to come down a grade properly... I found that if you don't go to their school they are more likly to fail you in the test in order to make more money from you taking the pre-trip and drive test over and over.

I would go with SAGE in Henderson.
