Can anyone tell me what the CDL driving test is like in Oklahoma? What should I expect?

Can you test three times or four before you have to wait 30 days to test again?

I checked on OK Dept of Public Safety website (hope you already checked there also).
Oklahoma has the crappiest website for CDL info that I've ever seen! Not even in the CDL Manual pdf. I couldn't see it listed anywhere.
But "typically", it's usually no more than 3 tries before the waiting period.
Give them a call or maybe a recent Okie CDL grad will chime in here.

    Bleter Thanks this.

I tried to check too and I talked to someone last night. They told me it was four times, but I've heard it's three from everyone else.

Waiting times are based on what you fail the test for.. certain things (and I cannot remember what they are) but a failing score will cause a week or more wait (they are booked solid in some locations in OK all the time) but a safety violation can usually (or used to) test the next day.. but again, the test sites in OK are horribly overbook and it seemed to me that the examiners all were reading different sets of instructions than the others...

How many times does it take to study the questions and then get them right on the first try? 1 Why worry about how many times you can fail, go in there ready to build them a truck, let alone them asking you how to drive it! That is the wrong logic! I never worried about how many re-tries I got, I worried about getting it right the first time! Go get it Done, You don't want to be nothing medium in this industry either you can drive a truck and get there safely or hope you get a chance to explain yourself as to why the truck is at the bottom of the cliff in pieces and the load is scattered all over 50 acres! go in there and knock the socks off the testers! Good Luck. Make them wondering if you were cheating! by the amount of time it took you to go in there and and pass the test!

It was the driving test that Bleter was asking about, not the written test.

I misread the original post at first as well which is why I gave links to the CDL manual and practice tests.

And another note: I would avoid taking the skills test in Ada, Ok. I think the course in Durant is much much more newbie friendly, but the backing test is a real bear!!
