I got my CDL in July of 2009 at a school. Was placed with a major carrier ,who's name starts with a P, ends with an e, to which I was placed with a trainer who started out fine and within a day or so started to cuss me like a dog for things like an occasional gear grind or using his windshield fluid when bugs were on the windshield, says it cost him money, switched to a new trainer after a week of verbal abuse. He also started out fine and we cross countried 3 times before one day he skreeled the truck to a stop in the Mojave desert and told me get out before he cut my throat.Over the fact that he told me to get in the sleeper but I couldn't sleep, we had been at a truck stop for 3 days waiting for a load and had been doing nothing but sleeping. After the threat on my life and some get -no-where calls to dispatch I had him let me off the truck in the next town(no way I was sleeping after throat cutting threat) at which point I flew to Tennessee.Re: company had no concerns for my personal safty.Question? I loved driving, what are my options? Note: both trainers had been reporting I was a great driver to the company.Am 53 and have surveyed land for 27 years. Am no whimp!
CDL in hand ,need training

"Was placed with a major carrier"...can you explain that? It sounds like it was something that was done to you by someone else. In every case that I'm aware of, people actually make their own decisions about who they hire on with.

There is more to the story that isn't being mentioned here..... NOBODY nevermind 2 people just flip out on someone for no apparent reason... Somthing happened....

Three sides to every story
1. His
2. Theirs
3. Truth -
Will depend what the "Da P & Da E' put on your D A C. ....if that's ok, it looks like its back to school for a 40 refresher or more depending on what you have retained over the past year and half.
