I love this guy. He's completely professional, and he takes every day as it comes and he is totally receptive to information from people he deals with.
    You sir are my hero!!!!

553 miles yesterday (stayed near Ann Arbor, MI last night) and 599 today. Four day total of 2155 miles since Monday morning.

Now at a rest area (3 local truck stops were all full at 17:30) in eastern PA about 10 miles from first NJ stop for Friday morning. They said they start unloading at 06:00 so I plan to be there by then. Afterward, I have a 1.5 hour drive to the final stop in NJ near Philly. Maybe I'll be empty by noon and then we'll see what the weekend brings... We do have a drop yard in Philly I have not yet seen... You just never know...

Gosh, thanks. Not really a hero though - Just trying to give back to a forum that helped me out when I was first starting. :)

Got the $15/month subscription for the already satellite radio-enabled stereo in the truck about a month ago. Worth every penny, especially during the long drives. My current favorite station is channel 27 "Deep Tracks" and the two adjacent rock channels 25 & 26.

In addition to 27, my presets are currently:
    31 Coffee House
    68 Spa
    76 Symphony Hall
    122 NPR
    159 CBC

If you get sent to the Bensalem drop yard, don't be surprised to find out its actually a gated truck stop, complete with a security check in. :)

    I know that place.

It's a port in the storm for that area (assuming we're talking about the same place). Spent a night there when I was low on hours. I had to pay $8 to park over night. Nice and quiet. Got a great nights sleep.

Only real drawback is you can't idle. Us USX guys don't have the luxury of APUs.

Wedge saw me pull into new Flying J at Frystown, PA off I-78 this evening. He saw the flatbed and took a wild guess.

Great to meet you in person Wedge!!!

More later but I am tired. Nutshell version: Successful deliveries of ceiling tile in Phillipsburg and Camden, NJ, then picked up a load of plate steel headed for Michigan; delivery first thing Monday morning. Easy run this weekend and I am ready to throttle back for a couple of days.
