This doesn’t pertain to new drivers but I’ve been turned down by a company I used to work for. I left in good standings, 2 week notice, and worked there for 3 years. Wasn’t a trouble maker. Never turned down runs. Never late. I have 18 years of trucking. Haven’t had a ticket in a decade. Clean MVR. I was recently hired by the post office so they do a thorough MVR and driving record check. Fed background check. I turned down that job for personal reasons.
This company that turned me down was likely cause I worked for the union. Which in the past they hired previously union workers without hesitation. Pretty crazy how things have changed.

My youngest cat is now 17 pounds, 11 months old and from the same litter that the average weight is 8 pounds. He looks like a Maine Coon, but he is not, nothing in his lineage has maine coon genes.
Thats said, there are roughly 3,100,000 cdl holders in the US, the article claims we lost ~26,000 cdl jobs industry wide, I think that works out of a 0.1% loss in the job market, which isn't enough. With the new entries and the fleet expansion of a few companies, the capacity of the industry is still really high, needs to drop by another 15%.The one california kid and Blu_Ogre Thank this. -
