Well, I studied for about two weeks primarily with TruckingTruth.com. I made it through the entire High Road course (up to the log book section) in a week and averaged a score of 94%.

This program utilizes a very effective memorization technique known as stacking. You memorize the general knowledge section and then go on to the next section. While memorizing the second section you're taking quizzes on the previous section along with quizzes on the new section, thus stacking new information you're memorizing onto information you've already memorized. Before you know it, you come to the end of the course and have memorized all the information for general knowledge and all endorsements.

I then took the practice tests listed here in thetruckersreport, and also practice tests specifically for PA at cdltest.co.

I passed general knowledge and hazmat, combination, doubles and triples, and tanker endorsements on my first take of these tests, with a screaming toddler in the room (I already have air brake, passenger, and school bus).

The one DMV employee said to me, "You've been studying, haven't you?" I said yes. He said, "Yes, I can tell."

I say all this to make a point. TruckingTruth has comment after comment listed on their site from people who have used the High Road CDL program proclaiming how effective the course is and that they, too, got high test scores and have heard comments just like I heard at the DMV that day. The High Road combined with the tests here are very effective, and it's absolutely true as listed about this program. I highly recommend it.

I hope you paid the site for this advertisement... The only thing lacking is that you didn't offer a link to pay via credit card for immediate download.

I don't understand the meaning of your comment. I'm simply trying to be helpful to people who are looking for effective study materials that I found very helpful. I also mentioned the practice tests found here and on another site as well. I am by no means "advertising" anything. I've done tons of research, and I, for one, like to make informed decisions. In addition, many people in these forums have mentioned these sites as well. So I didn't think this post was out of line.

Doing prep myself, been taking tests here and over at TT. The tests are different. I'm grateful that people took the time to put them up so I could benefit from them.

Thanks, Jen. Good luck with OD if that's who you go with.

I only took the practice test here and read my state book and passed. My buddy only studied the book a few hours the day before and we both took the practice tests on here sitting in the parking lot at dmv and we both passed. We both have moved the trucks around a few times at the warehouse we work at. Never heard of stacking but dang it was just a simple multiple choice test no need to over thinking it.

I have also looked at the forum on the website you mention. I came away with the feeling it was ran by recruiters that's My opinion. After reading here and talking to a few real drivers something just didn't jive over there with me. I mean ask them for an opinion on a company and your going to always get the same few big company's. Here the drivers call them bottom feeders and recommend them being a last resort. So I talked to a few drivers that deliver where I work and they said what most say here.

JenV is legit, not a paid shill. I have not used that 'High Road' course, but supposedly it is pretty good. The only reason I avoided it is because that entire TT website seems to be full of clucking hens, whereas this one is only half full of clucking hens.

I used the test here for my permit, hazmat and tanker and had no problem with them.

FWIW, when I took the test in PA, the computer kicked me out of the test as soon as I hit 80% which is the required percentage to pass.
