I would like to know how it was for you guys on the permit test, I've been studying my drivers manual and it's kind of hard remembering all of the stuff I need to.
Was the written test hard? How long was it? Is it on a computer or is it on paper? Can you get your permit before you enter trucking school?
How did ya'll help yourselves remember the things that needed remembering?
Thanks!

It's something like drivers ed in high school.
Don't worry just read the first three parts that are required for the learners permit.
I studied one at a time and took one at a time. This is the easy way. Also Now I have all the written done. Except for the hazmat.
Also after you pass the first three. Think about obtaining a "TWIC" card. Any trucking company will hire you. Also any other business. The "TWIC" card is a more in depth federal investigation than any employer can give. If you show it to any employer he will put your application on top of the list.
Look it up on google.Snail Speed Thanks this. -
Do not psych yourself out it is not that hard just don't change your answers every question I have ever missed I had changed

practice, practice, practice........look at the top of this page........see the thingy that says "CDL Practice Tests".......click on it and practice, practice practice.
I practiced every day for a month on tankers, doubles / triples, and HazMat. Took the real tests a couple of day ago and missed 1 on each test. All the resources you need are here......use the.
Good luck! -
Its not rocket science man! One trip to your local truck stop to see who actually have passed it will ease your mind quite a bit.
There should be a bunch of practice tests you can find online. The actual test should be very similar. The airbrakes section will probably be the most challenging but not hard. If you decide to get your hazmat endorsement that will be the hardest.
Good luck...
