I wear hearing aids. My left one being the worst one with about half of normal hearing due to an ear infection a couple years ago. Should I try taking physical without them hoping I can squeak by hoping I can pass to keep them off my medical card. If I can't pass without them then tell DR I have them or be up front with DR to see if will try without first.

I went to an E.N.T. (ear , nose, throat) doctor, and got a hearing test from them, and took it to my DOT physical. They accepted it

I took my physical with mine in to avoid any problems. Does it mean that they are listed on my med card and my DL? Yes. Is that an issue? No. I wear them all the time anyway so what difference does it make. Wear the hearing aids, take the test, pass the test then get on down the road.
Tonythetruckerdude and heyns57 Thank this. -
They don't do a hearing test. If you can carry on a conversation with the doctor without them you will pass.

There is suppose to be a "forced whisper" test. The examiner stands like 5 feet away and does a relatively loud whisper in each ear.
I'm pretty sure the guidelines are listed right on the long form.heyns57 Thanks this. -

Here is the long form:

"HEARING:" is number 4 on the form. Listed even above "BLOOD PRESSURE/PULSE RATE"!!
What does your doctor do, falsify the measurements?Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
