Question 2: Must both drivers of a team operation comply with the provisions of §392.7 before driving?
Guidance: §392.7 states that a driver must be satisfied that the vehicle is in good working order before operating the vehicle. If a driver is satisfied with a co-drivers inspection, or a safety lane inspection, then the requirement of this section will have been met.

I love when drivers don't know what they are talking about in regards to regulation, but they still want to act like they do.
It's even funnier when they argue with regulations.revelation1911 Thanks this. -
never mind -
If the dot man don't know whats in the book he claims to be expert on and I don't like his call on a inspection, I ask for a supervisor to review it before leaving or signing report. If at that point I don't like things I will crank it up foramally. They don't scare me a bit and they can shove my MC numbers up their aces before I'll bow down to them.

One cardinal rule for team pre-trip.... always check and be sure your partner is actually IN the truck before you set off. No joke, more than one co-driver has been left at a truckstop because he took a quick pitstop and his buddy didn't check.
