Hello, I have been involved in an educational project based on CDL. I am not a truck driver nor do I own a truck. But since we are doing this educational project I have to do lots of research on trucks, parts, rules, inspection and etc. So I found this forum and thought I could give it a try, if I can able to find answers to my unanswered questions. So this would be my first question. It might sound very basic to you all haha but I simply cannot find references or any detail on the internet. 1. Shut-off Valves - "Shut-off valves (also called cut-out ####s) are used in the service and supply air-lines at the back of trailers used to tow other trailers." Can anyone please provide references for this? and how it works...A video would be really helpful. Thank you
from where i worked at, dummy glad hand were used to cover up the glad hands on a trailer. this was to prevent any leaks, that got past the shut off valves. all they were, was glad hands with a cap on the end. any shop can put them together for the driver.
