CDL refresher companies???

About to pull the trigger on Pride Transport. Thoughts?
Well, talked to 2 recruiters at lunch today. Brief breakdown goes like this... Base pay (for me and my experience) $.59/mile

What exactly did you find so inexcusable about them? You called and were told something from one recruiter, and then you followed up a few days later with another recruiter who told you the first recruiter was wrong? What year did that happen?

 

Good, finally a company representative from there. Why is your recruiting dept. run like a bad joke?

Anyone who spends five minutes browsing through my thread history would realize how ridiculous your accusation is. So you had one experience where one recruiter set the record straight after another one had lied and/or didn't recall information correctly during the moment you spoke with them? Do you realize how many trucking companies out there have recruiters that are paid to misrepresent the companies they work for? At least someone there had the decency to set the record straight for you. Other companies just keep stringing you along until you're thousands of miles from home and multiple less than stellar paychecks into your new disappointment.

In my opinion you're not qualified to opine about an entire company based on pretty mundane miscommunications you had with some recruiter there. I don't find your critique particularly pertinent to IRT, but rather the industry as a whole. If that was such a mortal sin for you, then you can pretty much expect to be unhappy no matter which company you end up rolling with.

 

How long did you set on the toilet thinking all this crap up?

Like any of it matters to me...ha, nope. Find a hobby or something to do.

 

I'm a New CDL grad no experience is there any alternatives to mega carriers AND food service for newbies. I live in the Atlanta GA area
