Looking for suggestions on a school in the Little Rock area. I have made initial contact with C1. I'm soon to be retired military and looking to obtain my CDL and pursue a job with Maverick. I've thought about asking a recruiter at Maverick if they recommend any school but I'm not sure if they can endorse a school.

Any recommendations/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, any advice or suggestions on CDL school would be appreciated as well.

    Thanks

    Paul

Thanks for the suggestion. One reason I was leaning towards C1 is the fact that their location is closer to my home. So it would be less of a commute to and from training each day. But I will look into Diesel Driving Academy.

I'm not sure if those are the only two in this area but I'm inclined to pick one because I would prefer to stay in the area for training since it is available.

Call Maverick and ask if they recognize C1. They will be happy to answer for a prospective employee.

I'm in the same boat here close to Little Rock. Pulaski Tech in North Little Rock has a CDL program. It's a full semester though. They said its about $2000. ASU Newport has a 4 week program for around $1700. DDA is 5 months long and is around $10,000. I thought about going to C1 and getting USA Truck to cover the cost, but not sure about the one year contract. I'm looking to go to a school in a few months. If you find out about any others, I'd be interested. Thanks.

There is a school in Pine Bluff that I think is 3 weeks long. I can't remember the name of it, but they have rooms you can stay in and also offers some financial aid if needed.
