I'm in the process of getting my cdl license. I've done countless research, asked countless truck drivers, and with all the negative feedback and lieing dispatchers its so hard to pick with company to go with after obtaining my cdl. I also would liek to know what test areas should I really concentrate hard on for the Mississippi cdl testing? I would like to work with a company that will allow my kids to travel with me when they are out of school for the summer. I'm a bit nervous but also excited about otr driving. I love working and traveling.

There are companies that allow you take riders but there are age restrictions and I believe it is around 10-12 years old. If you are serious about a driving career stay away from the mega-carriers.

The companies also usually have a restriction on what time of year kids are allowed as a rider. Summer months only.
