I recently got my class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, Hazmat (pending TSA/FBI screening), airbrakes. (Took me 2 tries for the road test because I didn't learn how to double-clutch when I was learning)
I have been hauling grain for the farmer who let me use his truck to take the test but I have only been hauling 36-42ft grain trailers. I applied to CRST (Yes, I have read the horror stories - I think it is what you make it), and might apply to a few others. CRST called me and they want me to take a 2 week refresher because I haven't been driving 45 or longer.
What would you do? I hate getting stuck in something that I can't get out of - granted it's only 8 months but... it's 8 months.
I also think I will drop off applications for cooperatives and elevators here for spring drivers. Does anyone have any experience with that.
Thanks for taking the time to read!
Edit: I am 21 so can do OTR.
