Yeah, those company schools are a great opportunity for many people but I’m not interested to be locked in for a year without an “out”.
I don’t know how I managed to quote myself. I’ll figure it out. -

You're a little limited, living so far northeast, but still plenty to choose from.
Contact a few companies also and ask if they hire new cdl school grads from Augusta area.

Thanks, Chinatown. You and buddy have been very helpful! -
Keep in mind there are some companies that have tuition reimbursement as well if you pay out of pocket. Essentially all you have to do is present you're paid tuition bill and then they'll reimburse that cost over a length of time. Schneider does this, you show them your tuition bill and they'll reimburse that amount @ $200/mo after the first 30 days of full employment. So that means after you complete CDL school and get through Schneider's specific training which apparently takes 4-6 weeks and then work a full 30 days you'll start getting the $200 reimbursement payments along w/ your regular checks. You won't necessarily be bound to that company but if you leave early you'll obviously loose out on whatever portion of the reimbursement isn't paid yet. I think Schneider's reimbursement is up to $7k.
