I am going to start this Thread because as a driver who has been around awhile, I know there are both good and bad with all companies, as well as with drivers.
So starting off, and with good attitude I would like to share both my good and what I would consider bad experiences ONCE I START DRIVING.
Just so that everyone understands these are my view of my experiences only. All constructive criticism are welcomed by others. After all this is a Forum.
I will be honest, and will only post what I am going through, not what others may say or have gone through in their experiences. Everyone of us is different and view things as such!!!!! All of you drivers know #### WELL that you can put 10 drivers in a room and get 10 different views, and 6 or 7 of them will be whinning.
So upon saying that, I will start off by saying I am waiting on my FedEX package to arrive sometime tomorrow with my Door Signs, Fuel Card, and Permits. They are putting together my Temp Plate now and will E-mail that to me today. Really hoping to get a load out by Saturday to be in Orientation on Tuesday or Wednesday.
All you Drivers stay safe

curious about them.
Good Luck !mickeyinlasvegas Thanks this. -
Got my Temp Reg. Also got my FedEx package today with all my Permits, Door Signs Fuel Card, and IFTA sticker. Picking up my 1st load tomorrow in Carson, CA to be in Northlake, IL for orientation on Tuesday.
So far dispatch was cool, and when I called the shipper they were pretty cool. Of course we are on our Honeymoon Will keep you updatedThe Challenger Thanks this. -
Well, after a crazy trip from Ca to Chicago, I made it. Didn't go across 70 because of that storm coming through. So I decided to take 40. Wouldn't you know they shut down 40 in AZ. When they did open it, there was a six truck pileup in Flagstaff. Rough trip here, but I am here.
They put us up in the Clarion in Elmhurst. pretty nice place, and so far like all orientations, the people seem cool. Just wanted to touch base. LaterThe Challenger Thanks this. -
Well I got week one finished and it's been a really good week. Left Carson last Sat. Went to Orientation Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. Left for Carlisle Pa. and delivered that Friday. Shot up to Allantown Pa to pickup an empty. Then went Middletown, Pa and picked up a load back to Northlake. Dropped that and now deliver in OKC Monday.
Dispatch is really easy to work with. Call or e-mail. E-mail works for me. They get back to pretty quickly. Paperwork is easy. People seem easy to work with. Old school. Really Like itThe Challenger and Lonesome Thank this. -
Staying really busy. Two weeks in and over 7,000 miles. No complaints so far. Dispatch has been fair as long as you keep them updated. Sitting at the house. Deliver in Long Beach in the morning
The Challenger and 123456 Thank this. -
I now have a full three weeks in at CDN. It is a joy to work with this company. I have found out that as long as YOU COMMUNICATE with them, things will get done. I have run my Butt off. I always let them know at least a day before my delivery that I am running on time or early, and THEY ALWAYS have something for me. It may take a few hours, but they get me moving. The few times I have had a problem with a shipper, Jason Montgomery has gotten it taken care of. The West Coast as well as the East Coast Dispatchers have been Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I've said COMMUNICATE is the Key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ask the right questions before you go to Orientation. Don't be surprised because YOU DIDN'T ASK before you got there. And then say "They Lied to Me" Really?
Maybe a lot of these guys crying just don't know how to pre-plan themselves. Just let dispatch know what you're looking for. If they don't have it, they don't have it. Run something else, then get back to Chicago and try again. I've taken 250 mile loads just to get back to Chicago to get that long weekend run. Have there been things that upset me? Somewhat but who's perfect? And don't cry about running Chicago. That's your home terminal. YOU ARE GONNA BE IN CHICAGO!!! -
Well I have been here almost two months now. I am very happy here. Have run my butt off every week. My slowest week was 2947 miles. Yes that was my slowest week. I have been avg in the mid 3000 every week out. Dispatch has been great. Haven't had any problems with pay roll. I have come across people complaining however after listening to their complaints I have found that most were due to NO COMMUNICATION. They weren't told or they didn't know! Well how do they know you don't know unless you ask?
ALWAYS KEEP IN CONTACT WITH DISPATCH ALWAYS! -
I have a few questions:
1) Why is the FSC so low??
2) What kind, if any fuel discounts do you receive??
3) Is it true you run what they offer you and if you don't they will have no loads for a couple of days?? -
Just got home a few days ago so I haven't been on in a while. Keeping me very busy. They have been great to work for a I look forward to getting back to work in a few days. As I have stated they have been fantastic to work for. Any problems I have had has been mostly cost by me mis-understanding or not reading a text from dispatch. They are very straight forward with you. And when there is a screw up, my experience has been "we fix it and move on" I have put 38,000 miles on my truck in 2 1/2 months. That's with taking a few days here and there.
All I can say is good things as I haven't had any problems with them. They have the miles if you want to run them. Yes there have been a few slow weeks, who hasn't? Over all I am happy
