Celadon closing up shop!

They are listing a lot of companies on that that don't really exist anymore. Companies that were sold off or absorbed into Celadon.

For example, Celadon Logistics was sold to TA Services. They are no longer a part of Celadon. Osborn Transportation was absorbed into Celadon. The only existed on the side of some trailers. Every employee of Osborn was transitioned to a Celadon employee.

 

If you didn't suspect a problem, why would you need to be told everything is fine, fine, fine?

 

You would have had to have been in the meetings.. Just our normal morning meeting, Friday even featured a briefing about a new safety initiative they were promoting. The word was that we were hitting our revenue numbers and we were doing what we needed to do. "Keep up the good work". It wasn't a case of paranoia that they were trying to squash.

Then the story came out overnight Friday...

 

So you were without clue?

Your story sounds like that of a certain nation that blindly followed a certain man, " If you could have heard his voice...……"

 

I would say that most of us had a bad feeling about the future, but none of us had any idea that it would happen then. I was guessing at least 6 months before something would happen. Frankly, most people were thinking a buyout would happen. Not a complete closure.

 

And you were basing your timeline on the numbers your executives were posting?

 

I was a wild ### guess to be sure.
