The OP is not the one quoting that felony crap. These charges can be felonious but not by themselves as a first offense. Nowhere in the US charges a person with a felony for these charges. What most does is arrest the driver and they have to face a judge. You can't just pay a fine. Felony? No!

Again depends on the state.....in CA over 100 mph, FIRST OFFENSE is a felony, Reckless (Not a DUI plea down) Driving is a Felony, First offense DUI is a felony

@calnca 30 minutes ago you made a comment with such force you give an impression you were VERY knowledgeable about California's Driving Laws and Penalty's. Since you are so knowledgeable about them 30 minutes should be long enough to provide a link to backup what you just posted. I'm waiting!

Not a "Criminal" Felony....these are the common terms used on/by/with mvr review to delineate the difference between 1 point violations in CA and various other states as compared to 2 point violations.....however I can guarantee you if the CHP catches you doing 120 from here to Vegas you will spend the night in jail and they will impound your vehicle.

Is Driving Over 100 MPH a Felony Offense?

Here is the first line; "In many cases it is, but it all depends on your state's speeding laws."

    That does not sound like

My gif of the good Capt putting his hands in his hands was also me in resignation over the fact that to some people the act of having handcuffs placed on them and being placed in jail = felony. This is why I took the time in my comments to point out the difference between an infraction and a charge that requires an arrest. Trust me felony stops are a horse of a different color. Most of these there is a cop on a loud speaker telling the driver and passengers to get out one at the time and walking backward with hands raised toward the officers. I have seen felony stops.

Hey, you get caught driving over 100 mph for the first time in California you get a $500 fine and 30 day suspension of your license.

    THIS IS A FACT.
