A few years ago it was always the opposite & was the reason to buy Motorola. You could have any hand set sitting beside a Motorola & the Moto would always have better reception than any other brand.

I have read dozens of reviews on phones lately & the funny thing is, they usually leave reception/call quality out. Guess that function is not as important as it used to be. :biggrin_25525:

Considering you can get an Android phone for free, and Apple has always accepted your first born as collateral. Market share is a no brainer.

I see no reason, outside a miracle, to upgrade to a 5. Sure they may increase processor speed. But the rumored screen size increase is not enough to make me want to pony up those bucks.
At&T has already stated this. It should occur within the next 2 years if reports are correct.

I finally got the right person on the phone at Verizon...it took 10 calls, but the rep finally asked her boss how they could help me get into a smartphone without paying full price.

They agreed to upgrade my USB modem even though it wasn't due until October...

I have a new Droid RAZR MAXX on the way (its back ordered, will be a few weeks getting it) along with their new 22GB data bundle with Mobile Hotspot. (yes, thats 22 GB's...for $100)

I just paid $299.99 for a hand held laptop, LOL...I'm gonna give my Dad the phone I have now (Casio GzOne Ravine), he needs a cell phone anyway and is too cheap to get one himself.

That 22GB data plan is a limited time offer...get it while you can.

What do you do with 22 GB? If I am gone for 2.5-3 weeks, I use about 2.5 gb via LTE air card for a laptop.

That is a good deal though & would be nice not having to worry that you used too much.

Movies (NetFlix, Blockbuster, Amazon), Skype with family, various forums, pay bills...pretty much everything...I stay out 4-8 weeks at a time usually, sometimes more.

I don't expect to ever use more than 15GB, but like you said...a lil extra never hurts.

I ordered my Razr Maxx from Verizon yesterday. I'm taking home time in the middle of April, can't wait to get it!
