    What really worries me is big brothers ability to track us at any time
    Yes I realize it has been used to solve crimes

    Most newer cphones have a gps receiver in them.
    Unless you disable it, you are giving up your location all the time.

    Usually buried in the menus of each phone is a command to only provide gps location during a 911 call.
    Some phones default to gps always on, others don't.

    Research into using your cphone as a speed detection device is ongoing.
    It's proven to work well enough to use regularly.

    The govmt, thru CALEA, is legally able to wiretap a cphone &/or track it.
    Supposedly, wiretapping laws prevent abuses & random listening.
