Made it down to Phoenix, gonna have to get used to this 80 degree heat again. Deliver in the morning at 0730, back to back loads now with appointment times which is unusual. Nice drive down 93 to get here, not much traffic either once I got to Phoenix. It's been a while since I've been down this way, wanted to run the truck through the Streakin' Beacon in Kingman, to find out it was moved next to the J. What a waste of a 30 minute break.

Got a call from dispatch asking what my empty weight was, and according to the Cat Scale ticket I have, I'm 31660 with half tanks. I guess they want to put 48k on, and according to that ticket, I should be able to. I'm gonna scale it empty anyway in Kingman, which is where I'm picking up, and bring that to the shipper. Half tanks won't be an issue since it's just going to LA. It should be easier to get through PDX that way anyhow.

    Be safe all.

In Hesperia, CA for the night. Delivered this morning in Phoenix in less than an hour and then made it up to Kingman at an empty weight of 31800. Still had to drop a slinky because total the load would have been around 49100. That is just not gonna work with my setup, but they dropped it without me asking.

Went to pull the back flap up on my Conestoga and snap! There went one of the ropes to pull it up. Luckily it was almost all the way up, but now I've gotta get some rope for a quick fix until I get some good rope. It's always something I tell ya.

I'll deliver in Irwindale in the morning and then I'll scoot over to City of Industry going to Clackamas for what I would think would be a Monday morning delivery. I forgot to have dispatch shoot over the load offer so I could write everything down, but it is what it is. If I can get most of my resets in at the house, I will be one happy camper.

    Be safe all.

Sounds like you are in my old stomping grounds when I did a lot of LA with produce. I made it back last night and currently I am sitting at Peterbilt for some warranty items. I just finished all my paperwork and I have run 14683mls since I came back from Vacation a month ago. The great part about that is that I had only four loaded runs for those miles and a lot of dead heading. Luckily it all pays the same.

Sounds like you have miles a plenty. I'm spending the night in Lodi, CA which leaves me a little over 600 miles to get home. Could have gone farther but I didn't want to bank on there being parking in Dunnigan so I got the truck/trailer washed and parked it.

Delivered this morning without issue and then hopped over to City of Industry. They loaded me up with 47800 and I was at 79400 with just under half. Left me with some wiggle room for fuel but the front spread is at 19,800. Note to self, I'll have them slide the load back a little bit if I'm there again since I'm at 16 and change on the back axle. Since I was legal, I rolled on.

Got my detention pay issues resolved, just called into dispatch and they put it in for next week's paycheck. Called dispatch to see what I'm doing Monday and was told they weren't sure yet and then they asked me what I wanted to do, gotta love that. I said plan A, something that delivers on Tuesday before payroll cutoff or plan B, keep me rolling. It doesn't really take to much to please me.

    Have a great weekend all.

That City of Industry load to Clackamas was one of my favorite loads, not much room at shipper to tarp, I bet your loving the roll top.

The rolltop is God's gift to flatbedders. I'm really digging this setup on the Western 11. Good miles and home time so far.

Got home Saturday evening and left out this morning to deliver in Clackamas. Burned up a little over two hours there and then went and picked up in Molalla which burned about another two hours. Scaled and fueled and now I'm on my way to Windsor, CA for delivery tomorrow before noon. That will give me 3023 paid miles for the week on four loads. Have payroll corrections from prior weeks going on this check as well so this week is looking to be a good check. Once I deliver tomorrow, I need just over 1k miles delivered by Friday to get the low mileage bonus for February. Not too bad for a 28 day month.

    Be safe all.

Successful flat bedding has more to do with a good attitude, than how days in the month.

There is no doubt about that. Depending on what I do get the rest of the week, I should have around 11k this month.

Parked in Redding, CA tonight. Delivered right before payroll cutoff this morning in Windsor and then drove down to Oakland where I picked up my current load headed to Eugene, OR. Since I have scheduled home time this weekend, I'm guessing I'll be going back down to either Oakland or Sactown and then back up. We shall see.

    Be safe all.

Delivered in Eugene yesterday and then spent the night in my own bed. Took off early this morning and picked up in Woodland, WA and delivered in Bend, OR. From there, went over to Prineville to pick up my next load going to Portland. For some reason or another, receiver won't take it until Monday, which won't allow me to pick up my load to come off home time until Monday. I'll call them tomorrow and see if that status has changed.

    Be safe all.

Got my PM done on the truck/trailer and then got home Friday morning and was off until this morning when I delivered in Portland. Headed south to Philomath and picked up my current load which is headed to Salt Lake City. Gonna call dispatch tomorrow to see what they have in store for me after this.

    Be safe all.
