I read the thread under bad trucking co for Central Oregon trucking.

So thought I would post this, They are not perfect but after 2 and a half years they are not bad. (not weeks like the guy that complained).

    The good:
Most of the people do care about you, as long as you come to them with a problem as a Man or Woman and talk about it and not as a baby.

In my over 2 years they have for the most part got me home when i needed it.

You don't have driver managers you speak directly to the dispatcher for the area you are in.

For the most part they are straight shooters as long as your straight with them and follow there policies.

No truck is older then 07 (I drive a 07 since it was new) They even bought 2011 trucks incoming as we speak. If you ever have a problem with the truck all you do is talk to shop and they see its fixed even if your only by the shop for a few hours.

They will keep you moving!! even driving legal, I drove legal last year and did 129k miles with them, Even with a 62 mile a hour truck. and a bad economy

Had a medical issue, and had to take 13 days off straight, they got me home as quickly as they could. and didn't make me clean out my truck and let my truck sit there at the yard not making any money for 13 days.

    The bad:
They have a new payroll person that seems to lack personal skills, she can be short and snappy at times. I have had two issues in 2 and half years and both times in the last 6 months. They got resolved but left me frustrated and upset. BUT they did get resolved with in 24 hours.

Home time has been lacking since the end of summer 09, I know its the economy with loads not where i need to go.. currently have to do about 30-45 days before i get home

    All and all,
They are not bad, as long as you do what your required to do, and talk to them as a adult they will treat you with respect. I would recommend them to anyone that does not mind chaining, tarping, and little down time.. I have called dispatch and actually told them (Hey, I really need a break been running hard for x days do you mind if i load tomorrow)

    newtrucker123 Thanks this.

My husband worked for them. They were a #### good company then, and I am sure they are now. They were very understanding of the issues we were having with my husband's father's health, and were very disappointed when he was forced to leave... Fact is, if he were not so dad blamed happy where he is, I'm sure he would be giving COTC a call...

BTW.. is Joe still in charge of safety?
