SO things were looking good, called Vanessa yesterday. Now shes thinking a DV charge from 18 years ago might be a bar to me joining. I sent the paperwork over today, and she has sent it to Safety. Just waiting to hear back from them. Im really anxious, because it was so long ago, and I would hate if that one mistake, so long ago would prevent me. Anyone have any experience with this type of situation ?? Please help put my mind at ease!!!!

Domestic Violence, and the person i was scuffling with didnt even press charges. It was basically a shoving match. I think all it may be is the recruiter is unsure, but I dont know really.

i doubt it will be a problem but that have to dot the i and cross the t just sit tight and all should be well

They did convict me, but it was the state, not the other person. Back in those days, Michigan would convict you of spitting on the sidewalk, if someone claims the dog told them you did. It was just a year of probation, but still...18 yrs...

So, thats it. Just got the call. Thanks to money hungry judge in a podunk town 18 yrs ago, Central turned me down. I guess Central doesn't believe in fair evaluations....

18 years ago, and they turned you down? Wow.....

dv is the same as a sex or drug charge.
try a few other companies, you'll get in somewhere.
