Were you late to the delivery???Did you send your macros after 30 mins of actual arrival and departures??? If so you do not get detention...
I just do not believe this as I got alot of detention pay and never had them try and get out of paying me for anything!!!! They might not pay you on time but they will pay you and pay you without question if you have done your job properly...Hell, I even got that
"not home on time pay" more then once and never heard a peep other then it will be on your next check...
You people that have all these problems need to start looking at yourselves more as the possible problem and less trying to blame the company for everything...I made money, I got home on time most of the time, but i also sat, and got crap loads, told to run my ### off to pick up load to find out load is non existant, only to sit for another 2 days waiting for another load out of town...
I had 100% on time deliveries as well as 100% on time pick ups, did my job and kept dispatch informed and I got miles and home time when I wanted it...hell, I got thanksgiving, X-mas and new years off and 20 days later got my birthday off...
Do your job properly within the companies rules and guidelines, without whining and complaining about everything, keep your dispatcher informed and if your dispatcher will not help you, then go above him to cole thompson... Any and all problems will get solved if you are in the right...

Heyas.
Talking to recruiter tomorrow.
My cousin has been driving for Central for years and is an o/o now. She says it's been a good run and strongly suggested I get my but in there.
I've been talking to Roadmaster, Driver Solutions and TDI the last couple days and you got to be careful about recruiter over-enthusiasm if you know what I mean.
Any way, I'll post back tomorrow after talking to the recruiter and let you guys know what he has to say about training and such. Hopefully I can request my cousin as my trainer and not have a month in a rig with someone I don't know. -
Okay, so, I have to pay $115 for licensing etc, and $100 for admin fees, otherwise I'm covered except food. But if I go to the GA school (I intend to) they have meal vouchers for someplace, probably some dive nearby or the company commissary.
On site accommodations with kitchenette and 2 to a bedroom and a common area.
Bus fare to GA is paid and a pickup at terminal. Orientation is at same place classes are held, so no travel involved.
When ready to hit the road with trainer, picked up there at the yard, so no travel involved.
Seems smooth and easy.
Some places you got bus ticket to the nearest bus stop, but can't verify pickup from there to the accommodations. And some schools/companies the accommodations are rat-hole motels. Then you have to travel to orientation for a couple of days and stay at another rat-trap for that. Then travel to a depot to hook up with your OTR trainer. Then they drop you when you're done at a company terminal and sometimes have to travel to another terminal (at one place on your own dime!) to get your rig.
So $215 out of pocket, two weeks in classes and learning truck basics, then a month with a trainer OTR, then back to GA for your truck. All out of the same company location with no travel between.
Seems a bit short, but I'm a fast learner so shouldn't have any problems. And if I can get my cousin as my OTR trainer all that much the better.
Got EGears and scored %100 on all three sections, so classroom should be a breeze and I can spend that time in a truck I hope, instead of wasting my time and theirs in a class going over things I already have a lock on.
I keep forgetting some questions when I talk to recruiters! lol I need a written list! -
Does anyone know if Central allows pets??
-
-
If I remember correctly, no pets for company drivers although they did allow them and some people are grandfathered. I'm not 100% sure but you might want to check over at here where there tends to be more activity regarding Central.

Smokr: Are you still going to Central's training in Conley, GA? If so, when will you arrive? I start there on Nov 30th. Hope to see ya. Scott

Just wondering what kind of trucks they have? I am suppose to be going to Conley, Ga on Jan 3. I live about 40 min away so I was told to drive to and from training. Was thinking about going to Prime Inc. but since Central has a place in Ga figured I'd just go there.
