the one im talking about is where the trainer made his student {female} watch porn with him in the sleeper then dumped her off at a truckstop when she called and complaigned about it. she was then picked up by another trainer who was also female and dumped off at another truckstop and later terminated when she called equial opprutunity employment commission to complaign about the first trainer and the situation she was put in. ooida mag december edition page 32

Good luck with that. I put a 4" scratch in the side of a brand new trailer with one of the rivets on the open door of my trailer three years ago and the other company never made a claim. they still won't take it off.

One of our class got pulled out yesterday (he had a ton of driving experience and then spent the last 5 years as a mechanic) and apparently was taken over to the terminal in Fontana and got the chance to talk to some hire ups. From what I heard he was hired on that day for a job in the terminal itself as opposed to being a driver. Today when asked, Kelly said something about there being a new shop manager for the Fontana terminal. Don't know if this exact guy is the new shop manager or if he is just filling a spot in a rotation of people.

Why in this day and age would any company not bring a woman like this in for a debriefing immediately? And then act on the information received? I hope this doesn't indicate a throw away employee mentality.

I believe this supposedly happened a few years ago... I'm sure (at least I would hope) processes have changed. I do know that when I went through training, I had a male trainer... Not a single hint or problem of this type.

Unless I'm mistaken, central wont be heals responsible because it was not their employee but an ic that did this. Again, could be wrong.

I wouldn't be sure since the one affected was a Central employee and it was their training program. You can't just put an employee in someone else's hands then claim no responsibility. They may mitigate some responsibility if they vetted the trainer properly and trained against this kind of behavior. But, a lot of companies only vet trainers according to their own needs with little regard to the needs of those being trained. For Central's sake I hope they did everything on the up and up.

The more expensive lawyers usually bend the law in their direction.
