Central Refrigerated Truck Stop II

I turned in 4500 miles of trip packs Friday morning. Don't feel bad.

 

Any of you guys in Conley? I just rolled in about a half hr ago.

 

Ice, I wish I had known that, would like to meet you. I would have come there. I shut down over off 85, a lot more food options here, lol.

 

FYI, they kick you out of that Home Depot in Aurora if you're there after 5am! The lady was mean. I could have been meaner but I figured no point. Finished up my last hour across the street at the abandoned Lowes.

 

I'm here in Conley. Doing a 34 hour restart. Just got back from the NASCAR races a bit ago. On a load out to KY tomorrow night, hoping for another 500-600 miles before Wednesday or I'm going to have a sad check (not negative, just sad) next week. Oh well. Even a sad check is more per week than I made in two unloading for Walmart. It's all about perspective I guess haha.

I've parked there dozens of times, with a trl, and never got the boot! I'll have to find a new place to park I guess. Doesn't the lowes have a "no tractor trailer parking" sign? I guess with no trl you don't qualify.

 

I arrived to get my preload 22 hrs after appt time. You'd think it would for sure it would be ready, but according to the computer it's "in progress." The kicker is no one but the guard will be here until 2000 tonight. I was planning to hustle it down to atl and then park at crsco for the night so I could do my safety meeting (yes its late in the quarter, yes I've been procrastinating) but that doesn't work so well now, does it? Now we wait for dispatch to get in so they can (most likely) tell me I need to wait for it. Just can't get on a roll for more than 5 days running.

 

After shutting down last night, I noticed a brothel across the street. I've been out over 2 months, so decided to walk over there. I immediately found the Madame, handed her $500 and said, "I want your ugliest girl and a bologna sandwich". the Madame looked at me kind of strange, "But sir, for that kind of money you could have one of my finest ladies and a five-course dinner". I said, "Listen honey, I ain't horny. I'm homesick."

 

And in other news I could have gotten herpes Saturday night for just $40! Across the street from the Conley terminal is a Wendy's. Well it's more like down the road a bit, but you get the idea. Parked at the gas station next door (since the truck stop says no Wendy's parking) and began my trek down the side walk to Wendy's. I hadn't even climbed out of my truck when a woman says, "looking for some fun tonight, driver?"

I turn around and see her. Cold sores (ahem, herpes) like you wouldn't believe all along her mouth and cheek. EEEK! Kindly said no thanks, adding I didn't have any cash. She informed me there was an ATM inside the gas station. "All I need is $40 for a good time sweetie," she added.

After a moment of contemplating my sexual health, I again said not interested. She just walked away. I should have offered $20 to take a picture (of her mouth) it was outrageously gross.

im gone to Tampa FL now. Ill be back in Conley for the safety meeting tomorrow though..
