For med history they are looking for the same restrictions for a DOT physical ie high blood pressure, asthma, sleep apnea ect all the major ones that would prevent you from getting your DOT physical. As with the majority of company's if you have any of them you will need a waiver signed by you doctor saying that he/she see's that your medical issues will not impare you from driving. I did not know this when I went in for training and they put me back on a greyhound to get the forms filled out by my doctor. They will work with you so ask ahead of time before going what you would need a waiver for and have them fax it to your doctor so you can have it ready before you head out there.

A lot of people get sent home on Monday for high blood pressure even if you've never been diagnosed before. You have to remember the elevation and stress and for a lot of people lack of sleep depending on where your coming from will spend a day or more on a grey hound. Plus if you smoke or drink coffe will also increase it so first thing Monday morning lay off the coffe and smokes try to relax so your not sent home. They throw a lot of crap at you Monday morning and for some it is overwhelming and stressful so try to relax and should be fine.

Hi... yep we are still current with Central and we are still leasing... we are even still married - LOL! Haven't been on for a while because we are rolling... which is a good thing!! I will try to get on here more, but I must admit I'm on Facebook more often - easier and quicker - now off to do paperwork/settlement stuff in the back of a moving truck - I love paydays!!

I get a bit seasick if I try to read in a moving vehicle- helps if I look upwards instead of down. Good to see you two are still 'Klinging-on' Lady K- I enjoy your posts. As for Facebook- not for me. Too much baloney....I never cared much for the people I went to high school with so them finding me wouldn't be too much fun to me- I wouldn't remember them after all this time anyway!
I saw someone on the FFE threads had to have their high school diploma for the school? What about Central? I have no idea what happened to mine since it's been almost 30 years....I better look for my tax forms so I can verify employment, too. I'd rather have the ducks in a row than deal with some silly reason to get turned away.
I did download a form to get another copy of my Social Security card, even though I have a passport- I also have my birth certificate since I needed it to get my passport. I have a thing for Caribbean beaches when I can get the chance!!

Concerning blood pressure: lots of supermarkets and Walgreens (probably other drug stores as well) have automatic blood pressure testing machines for free that would at least give you an idea if you were getting close to the standard or not. I live at pretty high altitude already, so I'm used to it and I doubt that would cause me any difficulties personally.

Well I upgraded Friday and just finished my first pay week (5 days) as a solo. My dm is running me pretty hard (which is good with me) but I'm killing time in NC waiting on my pick up tomorrow. Trucking isn't so fun when you're sitting still, especially in a prostar lightweight.

They put the passengers seats back in, but yes it's an old beer truck. I'm still living out of my duffel, bc there are no cabinets.

I thought you meant one of the new International Prostar lightweight tractors I saw on their website- didn't look too bad but now that I know what you mean, maybe not! LOL
I've done more reading and it seems my situation isn't as bad as some of the active drivers out there- especially since my stupidity was over 20 years ago....

Turns out my 1300 load (listed in the Qualcomm at 1300) was a 2300 load. It's a meat load, and no one told me I'd have to sit here for 10 hours WITHOUT detention pay. I could've stayed at the pilot if I'd known, but central decided to do my thinking for me. Now I'm gonna be fighting off sleep all night to get this load to the 99 on time. This is fubar? Not to mention I would've gotten a 34 there, instead of splitting it into breaks.
