that mustve been a while ago. People these days wont even help someone out if they breakdown on the side of the road. Why is it people are so self concerned and greedy these days. Heck im a reefer driver and i was just teaching a newbie to melton truck lines how to tarp. Ive only tarped a trailer 5 times but its pretty simple. More often than not i end up helping central, swift, or england drivers back into spaces. Ugh i should just become a mentor at this point. I think i want to go do flatbed, i miss getting exercise.

I had no idea he was training another dm. Was trying to see if they had something better than grand island to enid oklahoma. Its like 380miles not even a full days run ugh. Knowing oklahoma there wont be any long frieght going out of it. I refuse to run their crappy northeast runs. Id rather run west thats where the freight should be at too. Why do they want me in the northeast.

You should be happy they're getting you out of the Midwest. Lol. Seeings how it's a Midwest regional fleet. With this fleet. You have to expect short runs. 380 is actually pretty good for the regional fleet. The key isn't more miles. The key is seeing if it's drop and hook at 00 and 90. And making sure gets you something to do right afterward. Before you even deliver the load you should have another load. Then you can get some dh miles in for the day. Idk if it's still the same now that swift has taken over. But when I was on the fleet it was very rare for me to have fewer then 3-5 loads on me at a time.

Latly they dont put a preplan on me until after i deliver and get parked. They wait until I am just about to fall asleep waiting on them, then boom load. I am in a lease for a 2013 peterbilt. I have struggled to make much with swift holding tje reins. I have managed to stau out of the negative but thats just it. I am thinking its not worth it. I am looking into work elsewhere. I am thinking I will go do oilfield and see what getting towed in by a bulldozer is like day in and day out lol. Swift is just way too cheap. I would love more than anything too see swift go under. I really dont understand how they fool their students into thinking 25-28cpm is good solo otr.

I am not dispatched on this meat load yet apparently. Either that or the load assignment never made it to my truck. !Update! Got dispatched picked up load got down the road came to an intersection and ended up in the middle of said intersection. This trailer that i picked up preloaded has a bad abs relay valve. Expensive repair from what petro says. I wish people would make sure their trailers where repaired before they drop them :biggrin_25513:

That's against the rules. I saw it in the driver's handbook somewhere. It says always pass your trailer problem off on the next unsuspecting soul...or something like that.

Huh well thats just awesome. Well swift can eat the repair bill for the trailer the abs relay valve and all 4 break chambers where shot. They didnt leak till you hit the break though. Makes me wonder who the heck had this 2003 trailer before me.
