let's see them grunt when they pull 43k of juice boxes off my trk. all kidding aside, i have the utmost respect and gratitude for our men and women in the military (active and retired). If they asked me I would help them with the juice boxes... after i do an x-pay for driver unload! (kidding about the x-pay part)

my lucky streak of f-ed up loads continues. I'm at ft bragg. Qc directions apparently are wrong (sent me into the soldiers apt complex). Gps is wrong (sent me on the other side of the apt complex, some kind of kitchen) no numbers on the buildings. Asked a few soldiers, they didn't know where this was except 2 and they said that it is this building still being partially constructed near the exit. Call the # on qc and no one answers until normal business hrs (9am) which makes me 4 hrs late but i was still on base looking for this place.

So finally I get to the Commisary that was on the BOL, back in to the dock, check in, and receiving mgr says that its not her load? wtf?!?! So she calls the other Commimsary clear on the other side of the base and found out it was their load. The person at the other Commisary couldnt understand why I called her (her # on BOL) and went to the wrong store. Turns out... Coca Cola put the wrong store on the BOL. QC had crossed info. Had address of Fort Bragg North post address with South Post phone number. So I let dispatch know and then i get the 50 questions from my FM..."So you are at the correct place now?" "is it on the same base?" "Is it far away?" etc. I finally get to the correct place while driving up I see a tent with 3 trls in front of it, thought it was kind of weird... followed the road around the back of the building. Got to the receiving docks, went inside to check in, receiver tells me to back in to door 7. I get out to the truck, start heading towards the dock and receiver stops me... (ahhh now what?) She tells me that they are going to unload me at the tent out front in the parking lot... WTF?!?!?! As I was circling the parking lot, I was just thinking "how the hell am i going to do this one???" So the receiver out there flags me down and says just park it here and block traffic... so they finally unload me in 30 minutes. All i care about it my BOL was signed and those Hi-C juices are off my trk....

Wow, I even have a tight time table on the load I'm on and my company usually doesn't do that. Not only that BUT my hrs are tight. Right up on that 70. I'm about 3.24 hrs from my final and have 4.5 to do it in. Then I get to sit till midnight.

Dark Majesty, have been thinking about that conversation you had going with the new guy coming to your company. Had to start laughing cause I had a flashback to when I had joined the army and was in basic.
Had a little saw off runt of a guy who had the "tower of power". For non RA types, thats the air assault, airborne, and special forces badges...in a row. He said that basic was nothing but mind over matter. We don't mind and you don't matter!!

Well the mega companies are just like that, eh!!!!

yeah i take all that... multistops, late dispatches, accounts we are on probation with, Boonie loads out in the middle of nowhere with little to no fuel stops.

Tomorrow i need to call my next 99 to try to get an earlier appt so I can turn in my 950 mile load before cutoff to end with a 3100 mile week, since i know dispatch/customer service wont do it. Unless i use trip pak scanning. has anyone ever used that? Are we allowed to do that?

No can do on trip scanning.. I asked once because I wasn't near a yella box.. Absolutely not.. As long as u get the trip in by 2359 on wed and ur trip pack is mailed in by friday.. Your okay.. Atleast I've never once had a problem at all doing that.. And I do it a lot.

Another plus I have to put down to my current company then.
I get paid for the loads I do each week. Does not matter if they have the paperwork yet or not.
Also they do not work lumper pay like Central did. It never hits your pay stubs.
If you hold paperwork for over a week they get really mad though. Normally after 4 days I start getting nasty grams on my qualcom, saying that all paperwork is due to be scanned within 24 hours of delivery.
But since I go to places that I may not see a truckstop with transflow for several days at a time, or do not always pass one with time to stop on the way home. They have to wait.
I guess one of our drivers held his paperwork for over a week one time and they tried to hold his pay. Since we have weekly pay the lawyers and the judge said they had to pay him what he was due. Every week. No matter if they had the paperwork or not.
I have not tested that. I would rather not piss off billing.
At least I know my company is debt free though, so I do not have to worry about checks bouncing. They make some stupid decisions at times. But that is due to lack of knowelege, not due to lack of funds.
