I called CR safety. The rider policy is now 10 and up. weh... That might have been a deal breaker.

turned in my shiny red prostar at conley last week. You can now count me in with the ex-central crowd after getting 2 neg checks in a row and having to pay for
"warranty" work when the O/O dept told me "thats how it goes sometimes" i parked
it and told em thats how it goes sometimes. If that was the only problem i ever had this would seem rash but, the list of problems and low miles and crappy DMs is toooo long to list. im flat bedding now for Boyd Brothers.
I know i didnt post here much but i read the forum all the time, anyone see me on the road give me a hollar, Blue 9400 Int # 7116

Well, my current load is 30 pallets of Downey going to a grocery STORE in NM. :biggrin_2556: Where they are going to put 30 pallets of Downey is beyond me!! Now im wondering if this is what was wrong with this load... but anyway. Today my QC beeped at me, I was expecting a msg from dispatch asking if i was ok with my appt time because its a P&G is a national account but what I got was a load with 250 mile DH back to Clovis to pick up cheese going to Irving, TX. Looks like the SEDLOD is getting stronger to bring me back all the way from NM! Judging by my DH, it looks like im the only one running the Southern US from CA to MS. (so far). Could be a good OR Bad thing. Good as in I will get a load daily to keep me running (except if i miss a Friday afternoon live load). Bad as in I need to idle everyday because of the heat.... :biggrin_25521:

Hey DM, ill glady take your tri-pac off your hands! :biggrin_255: Broken alternator and all! You can probably save yourself $600 in a new alternator if you know how to install one yourself. Just go buy one at the auto parts store and put it in yourself. :biggrin_25525: The TK alternators i think are only 45amp and seem to be made to break so you spend more $$ on a new one. The alternators at the auto parts store are up to 75 amps. I am definitely going to look into a Tri-Pac e. Just need to go find some outside financing for it.

Well, this is different... up in the NW instead of stuck in the SEDLOD. 99 in Tacoma tomorrow AM and then pu a preloaded for Tracy.

I think I know what the problem is. Haven't put in for my next hometime yet. That should assure a load to Maine or FLorida pretty quickly.

So far my navigator is enjoying the trip, but we haven't had to make a tight run yet, so the days have been easy going.

every run i had while down here in AZ to MS is tight. I havent seen another central truck since the other guy that got fired.... My cheese load is late when it was assigned to me and i didnt even notice it.. Yesterday I got a QC from C/S asking if i got my cheese load while i was on the way to deliver my Downy. :biggrin_2556: . Today I get a QC that my appt for my 99 has been on the cheese load has been changed to 7/16 1000. I thought WTF they changed it to the same appt time? I then went back to look at the load info and it was due to deliver 7/15 1000. So now i have to deliver my current 99 which is at 1000 and now its 1030 and still not in the door at this grocery store. I really hope this 30 pallets is not a mistake and meant to order only 30 cases. I dont know what a small grocery store is going to do with 7500 bottles of Downy. With the other brands they probably have that's like a year supply. So depending on what time i leave this grocery store i have to deliver this, pick up, split my 10 (again) then deliver in irving tomorrow at 1000. I swear I think im the only driver in the southern states from AZ to MS.

Ahhh... you must have gotten the loads I would have gotten if I didn't take time off.

We didn't see another central truck from Fontana to Portland. Now I see them all over the place.

i think all the central trucks are north of I 40. the last 2 weeks i been runnin the 10 and 20 with all DH > 250 miles and tight appts with detention. Looks like i need to split my 10 again tonight somewhere. Gonna need a 34 at the rate im goin. Oh yeah and i need to take this trl to go get the air leak fixed. Apparently someone left it at P&G with a leak that they just taped up.

Goin on 2 hrs detention here at this grocery store now. I feel bad for hitting them with it since it is a small independent grocery store, but it took them 4 hrs to unload Swift that was here before me and 2 hrs just to get me into the door then god know how long for them to unload my 30 pallets of Downy that i dont think they have the space for.

I have a quick answer to the one part of the question.
I do know that there is a truck stop right accross the street from Kings Dominon in VA.
That is the only theme park that I know of right off the top of my head with a truck lot next too it.
