I'm not a lease driver, but I can tell you that in over 3 years, the promises of more miles and more DMs have never come through. There's no help.

We took a 6 cent per mile pay cut, with the requirement of 16,000 miles per month, and no one's getting it for us. The harder we press, the worse it gets.

If you have a year of experience, and are willing to get your doubles and hazmat endorsement, check out FedEx. They're hiring, and some of that is relay, home every day stuff. And it looks like 50 cents a mile or better for some of it.

Yay... another day of sitting, probation and a trip to the WVDC for an undetermined amount of detention. :(

The good news... had a great review last month. That and $2 will get me a cup of coffee.

if i remember from orientation... they follow the 3 strikes rule. after the 2nd time in a year they put you on 60 day probation and you cant hit anything... if you hit something on probation then you are fired. so you are safe :biggrin_25525:

JJ's trainer Paul was fired after one accident and he had been with the company for 5 yrs, called him in for a defensive driving class in Conley after xmas and told him he was fired because the damage was over a certain amount and he was a lease Op!!

I hear lots of different things which tells me that I should expect anything from them. My trainer (10 years with the Simon/Central saga) wrecked his truck a few months ago against a jersey barrier and was in a loaner for well over a month while his was being fixed.

This is just fiberglass damage from bumping a pole while barely engaged in 1st gear. But who knows, so I'm expecting anything.

The last few July's have been bad for me. I'm considering just taking all of July off next time around.

my july is far is ok mile wise considering walmart caused me to take an unneeded 34 and taking the weekend of the 4th off. My only problem is the loads themselves... from costco refusing a meat load without a rework. A driver getting fired and trk got towed to a tow yard and I couldnt pick up the trl on time and caused me to service fail to CVS. CVS taking 7 hrs to unload me causing me to miss my Fri PM live load and making me sit all weekend in houston. Walmart mixing up am and pm on my appt making me a work in keeping me there for 8 hrs. Grocery store making me wait 3 hrs just to get into the dock while they unload swift AND taking 3 hrs to unload 30 pallets of the SAME product. TRL air line leaking so I took to get fixed. and NOW the product for my cheese load that was assigned to me after the orig. appt. was given to someone else because I wasnt here.
