The dry vans use them, I had 9 of those straps once. They provide the 2 inch straps, without ratchets. They clip into the rails on the sides of the trailer. We used a lot of straps.

I've never heard of ANYONE delivering Great Falls. What did you do to get a load like that?

My co-driver is from Great Falls, originally. We keep telling the family that lives there that Central never heads that way. Now you're going to make a liar out of me.

Hey Watson, you might want to heed Chromes advice. My wife and I worked for central for six years. Five of those we leased. Central is a really good company and we were very happy there. We ran as a team and made very good money. However, as a single driver it is VERY tough to make it as an O/O. You literally can't go home. When you go home it messes up your pay for three weeks! It can be done but like I said you really have to hustle. If anything goes wrong you are stuck like chuck. If you are broke down or take time off, you still have to make that truck payment. They are not forgiving. Once you go O/O Central will not let you go back to company driver. Start running your truck now as if you were leasing. Keep track of everything you do. 1600-1800 miles a week is your breaking point. This does not include fuel, scales, tolls, food, truck wash, breakdowns, overmileage(which they will charge you for once a month) office supplies, tickets etc... Your truck payment, insurance, permits, qualcomm etc.. is going to be $1000 a week. Maybe a little more if you are wanting a brand new truck. Like I said, you still have to pay $1000 a week if you are broke down, or on hometime or god forbid you get sick! There are ways to make it work such as training or hiring a team driver. I forget your experience but do not attempt leasing unless you have a couple of years at the wheel. Refining your driving will save you TONS of money. You need to learn to back off the fuel pedal too! Slow turns and no dry turns etc... Really conserve tires and brakes. Tires can literally break you! We had a bad wheel and it took us 3 sets of steers to find it. A steer tire is about $800. Anyway man, I don't want to discourage you just want to prepare you! Run your truck now as an O/O give it some serious thought. Ask to LOOK AT with your own eyes at some of the other lease drivers pay summaries. Don't just take their word for it. You may also get a better deal on a truck that a driver is looking to get out of. Central just doesn't let you out of a lease when you are done either. You need to sell it, pay it off, or wait until the lease is up. When the you are done you are going to get charged for all kind of little stuff, so be prepared. Good luck to you! Maybe some of the other drivers can add some info here. It has been a few years since we left Central.

Had a load of Sam Adams for Summit in Butte and R & S in Great Falls. The 99 was only 5 pallets. 150 miles up and 150 back to ID. Pretty Country. Had one big problem. When the bozos loaded this in PA they left a void in front of 4 pallets of Hard lemon ade. Well the load locks did there job, but they can't prevent sliding forward. Lost 30 cases due to liquid disintigrating the boxes and cartons. Saving grace was receiver made statement on the bills about the poor loading with the void.

Unfortunately not...live load of cheese. Sat from 1000-1445. I was late because I couldn't make 0830..I want my Enterprise with warp speed or just the matter transmitter. Wait. Wouldn't need drivers if they had that one.
